Has anyone gamble on low odds to defeat enemy? I once took city with warrior with 10% chance , it gave me a huge boost. Did anyone actualyl win in 99.9 odds?

I once lost at 99.7%

When [axe/chariot/whatever]rushing you inevitable has to make initial attacks at low odds like around 4% in worst case i think. Sometimes you will win, but usually you will loose.

Doing this with the initial attacks from a stack to soften up defenders. If you win right away, good for you - if you loose you have more units to finish the - hopefully damaged defenders.

Relying at a low-odds attack which a single unit does not seem a viable tactic to me. Sure you can win sometimes. But most of the time you will loose, having no backup to leverage the damage you might have done in the suicide attack.

I once lost with 91.3% odds, and then lost again to same unit (1 axeman on a hill) with 92.4% odds.
You're lucky if that has only happened once, seeing as the chance is ~1/100. :) That is, unless you are a very new and/or peaceful player who hasn't yet seen the first hundred combats.

I've won battles at like 2% odds. They were supposed to be merely for softening up really strong defenders that I outnumbered considerably, I didn't count on actually winning at all.

I think the worst odds I have won with was like 6%...was using the unit as previously stated as a suicide to inflict some damage to make my odds better for the real city takers...

On the other hand, recently lost a GG with a 99.6% chance to win and the defender took 0 damage

I felt really lucky when that happened. ;) Actually, I'm more aggressive player than a peaceful player, but not (so) new player. (played about 1 year)

Btw, this happend in BtS. :D

Can't remember every occasion where you was :spear: by th RNG. Just the highlights :D

Heh, well if you're not new and are an aggressive player, in the time you've been playing I've lost at *least* a dozen situations like you're describing. Heck, I see it happen damned near every game. So losing two 91'ish fights in a row really isn't that rare. Just last night I lost my whole stack where the lowest attack chance was 69%... Almost a dozen units in a row - loss loss loss loss loss loss loss loss loss loss cry. But, it happens.

I once won at 0.6% odds, with a Chariot against an Egyptian Axeman III (Chariot doesn't get the attack bonus against those guys, much to my chagrin) in the Rise of Rome scenario from Warlords. I was invading along the southern coast of Asia Minor and sent the chariot in just hopnig for a round or two of damage. Imagine my surprise. I forget how many XP he got for that battle, but it was something insane, like 12 or 16.

The lowest odds I won at was a 5.3% chance. It was a swordsman I had upgraded a couple times against a longbowmen. I just hoped to weaken him for my macemen. But suddenly I was happier.:D :D

my worst lost was a 98.7% and I lost against a archer. I was a knight. so sad. I cried.........

My worst loss was 99.9% (has happened to me at least twice in my civ career, but I do play a lot of civ), still have yet to lose a >99.9, but I'm sure I will sooner or later.

My best win was 0.3%, I was doing an archer rush against a lone archer in a hill city, and my first archer took the city much to my amazement (I consider myself lucky when they even do damage at those odds)

my worst is 99.7 loss I think.
not sure about my wins at low odds because I don't take chances on attack that often... hence, I lower my odds of it ever happening even further.

I killed you a bunch with bad odds ermy... lol

Best win was at less than 0.1%. Stole a worker from another civ in ~3500BC then for some reason attacked the city with my warrior. Victory!!!!!!!
Lost a GG at 99.8% though so kind of balances out :)
