Undocumented Patch Change: Alcazar no longer gives science

Just loaded up a game I had almost finished before the patch and I noticed Alacazar no longer gives science equal to 50% of Appeal. In my game I had meet Granada early and really focused on abusing Alcazars, with Eiffel Tower and had about two dozen with +2 or +3 science. Now they only provide culture and the Civipedia also omits any reference to Science.

Kind of a bummer, as this makes them weaker than Moai and Batey which can easily grow to +4 or +6 culture over the game.

I should note that this is extra frustrating because I am one of those more Mac players who have pair for the Frontier Pass and not been able to play any new Civs. The fact that this is changed means the game has somehow updated yet not loaded Gran Colombia and Maya.....

Thanks so much for the advice @DogeEnricoDandolo! Apparently I had Leuigi's Unique District Icon mod active. I disabled it and the yields came back.

Still waiting for that Mac version to try out the new Civs, so thanks for helping me get the science back in my current game to tide me over till it arrives.

You can follow Laurana's instructions and keep all your mods. She helped me 3 times with LoadOrder issues, one with Statue of Liberty, one with these two improvements, and one with the winged hussar doesnt require strategic resources.

Reason #32767 not to use mods.
Lol... The problem is caused by the game engine, not the mods. In some rare cases it loads original content in a wrong order. Not sure if you actually noticed the solution - you need to modify Expansion files, not mod files.

When there's a new expansion and it breaks your mods, it doesn't matter whose "fault" it is. The game still breaks.

I was really hoping this and the builder lag problems would be fixed. Sadly it doesn't look like they were. There's a couple other LoadOrder issues that don't seem to cause any serious problems, but do throw errors in the logs. One was a color issue with Antioch that shows up with some modded leaders, and the other is one that appeared with NFP & seemed to be caused by Leugi's UDI mod - a UC error with Brazil's water carnival.

Reason #32768 - Ignore reason #32767 :mischief: ;)
