Uninstalling MSN Messanger

Is there a way to uninstall MSN Messanger? I am getting realy tired of getting the upgrade confurmation asking me if I want to upgrade, I always select no because I dont use MSN Messanger and plus I use Trillian insted.

Is there a way to uninstall MSN Messanger? There is nothing in the Add/remove programs.

I think you mean Windows messanger. If so look in the sticky at the top of the forum.

You can fix parts of this without uninstalling windows messenger. If you have adaware SE installed, there are 2 plugins that disable autorunning windows messenger. download, install and run them in ad-aware. Prevents those popups for win messenger. IIRC, also fixes msn messenger popup.

AFAIK trillian is in no way dependant of MSN, so it should work just fine.
