Unique Graphics Disappearing?

So I am having what seems like a rather odd problem to me. My unique unit graphics for common units (like the warrior) seem to be disappering from the game. It started with the Calabim civ where the bloodpet became "generic" warrior graphics and has been moving to other civs each time I play. Now the Centuar guys have the same issue as well. I have tried deleting out the folder and reinstalling the game, I even tried loading up a different mod to see if maybe it was a caching issue of some sort.

Any tips or tricks I am missing?

Turn off freeze animations in the (graphic) options.

My freeze animations is not set (I have a high end computer so I don't need things like that turned on), and it is working for most civs, I have just lost a few of the Civs (including one of my favorites the Calabim). Also, the unit graphics are either wrong all the time or right all the time, not just when they move/not moving
