I'd rather have Hussars than Berber Cavalry for sure. The extra move lets you move across two rough terrain tiles and still take a city.

Pathfinder removes the randomness of not getting that early culture from ruins. And on top of that they are warrior strength and you can promote them into Comp Bows before researching archery.

Minutemen 17 - This guy got buffed in the fall patch, and was already quite good.

Really? What did they do to them? I was previously in the camp that like them enough to maybe break top 10, but not so much that I'll defend them on here. Might have to change if they've got even better...

They now have an ability similar to the Pracinha, whereby they earn golden age points with kills

Longbows are terrain dependent, yes. But so are chu ko nus in a way. If you are in a position where you have to move one tile and then fire, then a normal crossbowman is better than the chu. Not that they're bad, but Longbows are better.

No matter how good the Winged hussar is it still upgrades to an anti tank gun and stays forever.

N. elephant: Reason why Siam must be killed before chivalry, if you are going for domination.

Berber: Out of three cavalry UU's left this is weakest one. There will always be wounded units in the field for cossack and there will always be flanking bonuses for hussars, but there won't always be desert for berbers.

Boo! Minutemen don't deserve to be this far into the list!

Chu's are more fearsome then longbowmen, unless you're attacking cities, which isn't all that difficult anyway.

B17 12- This is a good unit, but its the latest unit, and has the smallest window of usage of the units remaining, as you usually win when these come out.

Camel Archer 36 = 35 + 1 You can take 3 CAs, 3 Keshiks, or 3 longbowmen and clear a continent without taking a loss. Chus also but it's messier. Try doing that with melee elephants.

Hussars do not cut it for me, I think that if a UU requires a resource, horses should be the least desired strategic. All in all, sub-par with what we have remaining.

Keshiks are unstoppable, depending on the map size, about five of these can take a continent.

Horse archers are useful, but they are no Keshiks/Camels. List is getting short, time to start cutting off some of these units even if they are decent UU's.

Stampy is one of the most powerful mid-game UU's. Hint: They are less for domination and more for having a stupid powerful defensive wall that Renaissance era units cannot break and even industrial units will have trouble breaking.

It's so easy to get Logistics with the Sea Beggar. This allows it to attack twice and move out of harm's way and heal up with the free Supply promotion. A few of these can take down cities and get you a lot of gold. On Deity these ships are invaluable in taking over enemy ships to build up a navy to overpower your enemies. And as if things couldn't get better, you can upgrade them to Destroyers.

While the Ship of the Line is strong, I don't think they're better than Sea Beggars. I prefer to steal them from the AI with my 'Beggars :P.

Horse Archer 8 An earlier, worse version of the keshik. And this unit can't move after attacking, which doesn't make any sense. This applies to chariots as well. Also replaces the wrong unit. It should replace the chariot. It would give the Huns 2 cavalry unit types and 2 siege unit types for early warmongering.

Minutemen 9 I can't believe people are voting down a unit that offers free drill 1 promotion and no terrain costs. The golden-age-points-on-kill bonus is icing on the cake (and I thought that bonus didn't make the beta update anyway. I'm receiving conflicting news on this). This stacks well with upgraded units. Think of a mech infantry with that. Musketeers and tercios deserve to be eliminated because they're short term units. They're useless after the industrial and modern era respectively, whilst minutemen, provided that they survive in battle, would make epic special forces for America, which is rather appropriate. :p

Ship of the Line 34 I don't think I've upvoted this guy yet. It's a pretty good ship. Extra sight is nice on a ship, but the main purpose is just to destroy everyone else on the seas during this era. This is one of the few units that's really good just from a temporary +strength promotion.

Horse Archer 5 - Not a bad unit, but i had to downvote something. It has great synergy with battering rams and those two give the Huns ancient era dominance. But calling this ancient version of Keshik is not accurate, it can't move after firing, and is therefore vulnerable to spearmen and city bombardment. It also suffers from terrible upgrade path, losing all ranged promotions on upgrade.

Janissary 35
Keshik 36
Longbowman 40
Minutemen 10 - Let's save this for a little bit longer. Musket with free drill and no terrain costs plus golden age points from kills is really nice, especially since all of those thing carry through upgrade! No terrain cost allows flanking enemy more easily and free drill allows this to start with drill III if city has barracks and armory, which puts it just one promo away from march. While it is not as good as Janissary, it definitely deserves living little bit longer.
