Unit icons removable?

as stated, are the unit icons able to be turned on and off like the resource icons? I want to clean up my view to make it look nicer. thanks.

No, the unit icons cannot be turned off.

You may want to try Thalassicus' CiVUP (CiV Unofficial Patch) mod, I think it has this function.
