Alittle to big to be a Zergling. But its close..

Hmm... I've never even seen a zerg (or a zergling for that matter). Like I said, this'll be somewhat smaller than the infantry unit, so that's not it's actual size...

The queen idea is cool, but (if I make a queen at all) I'm going to completely alter the drone model to make a queen unit. Also, i believe the queen had six legs, and six spine/odd-protrusion-things on her/its back...

Yes she had Spines on her back. Don't know about four arms though. I just remember a really big, meaner version of the Xenomorph when I saw Alien 2. Theres also an Imperial Xenomorph with a fancy crested head BTW.

Wait... I'm confused... we're talking Starcraft and not the Aliens series, right? I don't know much about either...

EDIT: Because this thing looks a lot like an alien from Aliens

Well, I thought it looked Zerg-Estue because of its color scheme. The Aliens from the Alien series were all-black.

Well, yeah, I knew that... but it's so similar in shape...

There were some dark, dark reddish aliens though in the Alien series. The comics had a lot of new varieties too I believe.

I'ts funny that this units out, since Alien Vs. Predator will be in theators soon(should blow that stupid Fahreinheit 9-11 out of the water)

I just saw a preview for it tonight. I'm much looking forward to seeing it.

Which one....Aliens Vs. Predator or that horrid Documentary? Documentarys don't belong in the theator. If I wanted to see a Documentary....I'd watch A & E or PBS LoL.

But enough of my rants. I too am looking forward to seeing Alien Vs. Predator if thats the movie you are refering to. The interesting part is that the Alien VS. Predator showdown has been in the works since Predator Two(On the Predator's ship their were Alien skulls...)

Yeah, I remember the Alien skull. I had a friend of mine who he and I were really into the Alien v. Predator video game for Super NES. (And yes, I meant AvP. Already saw F911).

This is acually supposed to be an Alien from the series Aliens... I'm glad you think it looks like a xenomorph, 'cause that's what I was going for . I got the red-color thing from the AVP II game, and the Queen with four arms came from the odd Alien biology site (not really just Alien biology, but they did go into extensive detail about the Aliens inards; http://www.serenadawn.com/AlienRPG-Contents.htm). Anyway, the black ones were Drones, and the crested ones you referred to were the Praetorians (at least, that's what AVP II called 'em; planetavp.com).

BTW: I'm actually lookin' forward to seeing F911 and Aliens Vs. Predator (I guess the Aliens skull slipped past me in the movie... I can't believe it, I used to be fanatic about the whole predator thing when I was younger)...

Cross-post . I'm not sure about a date, I've never really done a unit like this. Barring any techinical difficulties, it should be out in... 2-3 days, week tops. I have all the animations done, except an attack B and fidget. After that, it's just rendering and *shudders* palette work...

I think Bebro would have liked this unit for his XCOM mod. To bad he's not around much anymore.

Who said I wanted to spend money? I don't want to spend money on anything . I'd rather see the Aliens Vs. Predator movie.

BTW: To keep this somewhat on topic, I've never played XCOM, maybe I should check it out (if this unit fits, sounds cool... Like biological warfare or something ).

EDIT: Not advocating biological warfare, just saying it sounds cool for Civ 3...

Biological Warfare usually refers to Viruses and the like. For example, when you hear in the news that Al-Quida are planning to use Antherax or Smallpox, thats Biological Warfare.

I'm not sure a Macro-Organism such as your Xenomorph would fit in the Biological Warfare catagory in that regard Yeti...

Not in the traditional sense, but I'm not sure how else to describe growing a hive of creatures specifically to impregnate and effectively kill your enemy... Um... Dogs of war, or like war elephants? I think that's about as close as we can get (also, according to the game, they were trying to develop biological weapons based on these creatures; I'm not sure if they were referring to growing more of them, or developing viruses/toxins from them)...

Plus, it sounds cool ...

I guess. Bebro XCOM mod is about Aliens Vs. the Nations of Earth. I guess its set post-invasion, after the Aliens have destroyed most major cities. The Aliens have their own units and stuff.
