Unit request: Martial Artists

I need some martial artists for the mod I'm working on. Normally I don't have much faith in unit requests, but it was fun making the pics. Blue is supposed to be civ colour, and they are in order: South-East Asian, Indian and Nomad.

I heartily second the request! I'd love the katar-wielding Indian of course (and can provide plenty of images of weapons & these guys in action for any eager prop or unit maker). I bet Ogedei would find a home for these guys in the 7 Kingdoms as well.

Edit: an Indian master of Kalarippayattu would be called either a gurukkal (Northern style) or asaan (Southern style).

And, as far as katar wielding goes, how about a female warrior?

PS: Bodhisattva Warriors is an interesting book about the connections between India & China, Buddhism, & Martial Arts.

Yes I know about Kinboats unit, but ideally I need actually need 11 martial artists, and I only got four so far: Kinboats MA, Cams Shaolin Monk, Firaxis Ninja and Firaxis Warrior Monk.

That's a bit many though, so I just requested three.

You can. On the gripping hand, Capoeira has its roots in Africa & looks quite different from the Indian arts in action.

I'd definitely like to see these units made as well. I could use the Southeast Asian martial artist as a special warrior monk unit and then use the Firaxis Yamabushi to represent something else in my mod.

I was using Kinboat's Pandas for a while. I one with the bowstaff was pretty nice.
