Units in City Mod?

Currently in the game, when you finish production in a city the 'build select' list pops up. I like to have two defending units in each city, but when this list pops up there is no way to see how many units (and what kind) are in that city (well, no way that I know of). I either have to remember what's in a city or go back and check after I choose something to produce next. Has anyone done a mod that shows what's in a city unit-wise when the 'build select' pops up?
 
IIRC it zooms to the city on the world map when it does this so you can see how many are in it from the blobs above the flag.

The examine city button would work too.
 
TGA, Thorn does have a good point though, why should you be forced to examine the city to see what units and kind of units are there when selecting the next production item in the city? Maybe what should happen is before the production selection screen is shown a call to the CyInterface().selectCity method should be made to show the units in the city itself.
 
Nevermind on using the selectCity method, it focuses on the city and brings up the city screen.
 
I didn't say it wouldn't be useful. In fact, I think it would be useful.

You could probably get to the popup and get it to display a list of units you had in the city.
