I was hoping for more and smaller units in one tile than civ 5 had. and they even made them bigger in Civ 6 and less units. sad, roling in with 1 tank? wow what a big invasion. I want alot of units so it looks more like a war game to. disappointet in that

There's going to be a lot going on at the same time on the map. The worst I could imagine is having to click a unit just to see which unit type it is. And even if you think that would be easy even if units were smaller, consider there will be older people and others with poorer eyesight than you that should also be able to enjoy the game.

Im 23 years old and although I do not have poor eyesight I do not see a single reason for smal units. I can use my immagination f I would wan't to see a large invasion but really the only thing I care about is to see why units are on the field.

I agree however it is not an issue.

Simple Scale mod should fix that. Same goes for the wonders

it just doesnt look right with that big scale. a tank that is bigger than a whole city looks stupid. I know its easier to see. you have icons to see what unit it is to.

It's basically a non issue - people have always accepted that large sized infantrymen or chunky cartoon tanks are basically abstract representations for a contingent of infantrymen or an armored division rather than a single soldier or tank...

If it still bothers you so much... Well, that's what mods are for.

Anything other than mountains being more than smudges on the map is completely ludicrously miss-scaled.
(and a land "unit" having less that a few hundred members is also ludicrously miss-scaled)

yea the scale mods for civ 5 is not working so cant rely on mods for that. they could have made an option in the menu for it. big or small/more units :)

Yeah my response was for the OP. Agree with you 100%

its giant units on the map now hehe. how bad sight do you have to make it smaler? then you cant see the bulidings and other stuff on the map aswell if the units have to be that big too se it

I can see the buildings better then in civ V and I can see the units better then in Civ V so to me it have no disadvantages.

You can always use the zoom-in function.;)

The size of unit sprites has nothing to do with "poor eyesight". (every unit has a distinct icon which you can use to identify them). it's simply the art style they went for and I think it looks pretty amaze!

Also if we were going for correct scale, we'd get ugly ANT-sized batallions and ain't nobody wanna see that crap~

But zoom in takes away map visibility and also time while big units have no disadvantages to me.

Yes, I can understand that you want to keep the overview on the map. I zoom out 1 or 2x from standard view and I still would like to have the units a bit smaller and larger in number for immersive feeling. But it is for everyone his own preferences.

I like all the other stuff that has been improved on the map for civ 6. I dont say it should be correct scale to reality. it does not look good now. should i be scared of 1 tank at my border hehe

No? Just blow it up with Artillery.
