I love Fairline graphics! I would like to put in a request for a future request (I haven't finished designing my warrior penguins, and Kdar is still making the 3d models). And can you make those for non-TOT? As i do not have TOT.

    Bless you my son :D

They use lots of greys and whites, which are well catered for in the mge palette I suppose - you don't tend to lose much in the translation from 15-bit ToT to 256-colour as a consequence.

Wow, those are some of the best satellites I've ever seen. Too bad Test of Time's AI overuses fast-moving air explorers

I wanted to take a moment to comment on the outstanding quality of units that Broken_Erika put together...those are great ST units.

At the same time...this is such a great thread and as a loyal Civ2 addict, I am just glad there is a place like this to go to get such a great selection of quality units.

Let me say this...there is something about Civ2 units that simply inspire us all...perhaps it is the fact that they are still images without animation that make them more of a challenge to select or compose...or perhaps it is their conversion to imagination that makes them better.

All I know is, I get excited just coming up with ideas for Civ units.

Keep 'em coming, guys. There will never be too many units for civ!:D

Though I share my "mod" with you all.

The units GIF I compiled from different peoples units, which was actually a lot of work, I think I downloaded every single civ 2 unit there was online, back in 2005.

I also think I uploaded it once, but in case I didn't, here it is. Along with the rules.txt

You need the version of civ2 that allows you to have 10 extra units, the vanilla version with 3 extras wont work.

    The extra units are:
SAM, Commandoes, Spy Plane, Light Armor, Adv. Armor, Nuc. Sub, Jet Fighter, Attack Helo, Patrol Boat, IFV and AT infantry.

    http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/42328/UNITS.GIF

Edit: cant upload .txt files so here it is: just copy this part below and paste it over your extra units rules bit in your rules.txt:

    Spoiler :
    SAM, nil, 0, 1.,0, 2a,5d, 3h,1f, 7,0, 1, Roc, 010000000000000

I'm creating an "Inner Sphere" scenario.
These units may not quite be the final group, but I am close to locking out changes.
I wanted the units to be recognizable to Battletech players, but authentic Battletech images that look like anything at less than 50 pixels height are hard to come by.
I've used a number of "Stock" unit images including my "fop" (mostly as diplomat), spy, engineer, barbarian chief, motorized infantry, ground freight, and conventional helicopter.
The eel is played as a space eel, one of my favorite MOO2 monsters.
I reduced the images of an Engliish Electric Lightning, Convair F106, North American XB-70, and Avro Vulcan for other conventional air units.
The stock nuclear missile is a Titan II, the cruise a Thor.
Thr Air Freight unit is a Vtol concept.
Sea=Space in my scenario. I've morphed the regular sea units into space units.
I robbed a variety of galleries for images, settling on a Russian rocket with its rail transport nose guard as destoryer, a Halo ship as cruiser, An Ancient ship from SG-Atlantis as Battle (aegis slot) cruiser, a Robotech Battle Destroyer as Battleship, a Nice stock warship images is the stealth ship ( submarine), and the SG-Atlantis ship is Aerospace (aircraft) carrier. I did get a nice image of an Overlord drip ship as transport.
So tell me, what do you think of them?
Ultimately I'll post the final version of Inner Sphere in the downloads.
