It's not hard. You'd use FLICster to reduce the number of frames in the animation to 1, making it no longer "animated" in the true sense. Then the PCX can be modified with whatever Civ2-style graphic you want, and you can mirror it so it faces left when it's moved West and right (default) when it moves East.
I'm in the middle of converting all the Civ3 animations to non-animated Civ2-style graphics right now. (That's actually why I asked about the TOW infantry.)
Doing the small pictures in the production menu is a whole other process, not involving FLICster but still tricky in some ways. The Civ3 forum has the details...
cannibulization, same method on these fairline units.
edit: cannibullization and rebuild, it's sometimes gets very good resaults, the other 70 percent of the time it isn't particularly impressive, these units are the pick of about 60 modified fairline units i worked on,
i slapped this together out of boredom, the ultamate british units pack this took 4 hours to dig around and compile, enjoy!
only one of the units is mine, the HMS Lord Nelson pre-dreadnought
Does anybody has ever drawn some units that look like ships from the TV-Serie Andromeda? I can't find any. Or maybe somebody knows a good webside where are useful images of ships from Andromeda, so that I can create my own units. I need them for my new scenario. Thank you very much!
I havent seen any Andromeda units about but Ill have a look round. I doubt this thread is dieing Erika its probably just going through a slow patch as it has done before. Anyway heres some Robotnik Units Ive made.
