So...has anyone ever made any Final Fantasy style units?

I'm interested in either Final Fantasy IV (2 on the SNES) or Final Fantasy VI (3 on the SNES) styles. I can find some by looking in the standard fantasy packs but FF6 especially has a lot of fantasy/steam tech era combinations....especially in Narshe and Figaro and The Empire. And I've never seen a Magitech Armor unit....;)

Here is a He177 Griffon from Dictator II,
Which I am currently play-testing.

I plan to post DictII to TF next week.

Here's the infamous flying lighter...

i am working on a scenario about british colonization of India
Can you guys help me with some units, because the once I make look like crap, and I couldn't find any on the net.
Thanks

Curt,

I absolutely love your icons concept above. As far as I am concerned, I consider it revolutionary to have screenshots of the game as your icons. :goodjob: I have taken the liberty here to make some of my own in the same style for an upcomming scenario of mine. I will be including a few of yours as well, and there was no need for me to make redundant icons for such things. When you thnk of it, the possibilities are really endless for using the screenshot-icon technique. I love it.
I have also added a few other, more traditional style icons in here. I especially dig how the costal fortress (or Shore Battery in this case) came out.

Try looking for units in scenarios advailable at http://www.civfanatics.com/civ2scenind.shtml The scenario 'The Great Game' should be useful to you.
(BTW remember to credit the units makers when you release your scenario ;) )

Why, Thank you, Herr Field Marshall!

I am delighted to see such inventive use for the icons, I like the
Coastal battery icon, and the rest of your new icons rule too!
The buildings and terrain do look quite funky when in the icon
box. I hope to see more soon, and your new scenario!

Hi, I need Medieval units in a form i can use for a MGE scenario. Preferably they have to be early medieval or even darkage units.
Cheers!

Hey!

Here is a new version of the B-17 used in my D2 scenario...

Curt: I looked at your German Super-Heavy tank units and they are great! But one thing: What site did you use to get the names and pictures for basing your drawing? I looked for the E1000, but it didn't seem to exist and for the Tiger-Maus, was that one of the Maus prototypes. And also witht the Ferdinand: I thought it had a fixed superstructure  But if these are the real designs and I'm stupid, then good job :goodjob:

Oops!
I got the names mixed up in that post:
From the top row:
PzKwVII Tiger Maus,
PzKwVIII Lowe
PzKwVII Ferdinand,
Bottom row:
PzKwVIII Maus
E1000
PzKwIII

These are just my takes on these 3rd reich dream tanks.
(with some inspiration from the good Captain N!)

PS like most of these super panzers,
the E1000 was an advanced tank that was dumped,
along with the Lowe, in favour of the Maus prototype.

And the maus wasn't completed either....
Although during the closing days of WW2
there were tales of a confrontation between
JS2s and a huge 'pillbox' vehicle near where the maus
was developed...go figure!

That explains it all Curt :D With the E-1000, was the the same "Standard" series of tanks meant to refit the german army after 1943?

Actually, Curt, are you not refering to the E-100 "Adler"?
e_100_1.jpg

The 'E' series of tanks were meant to refit the German armoured ranks after 1945.

Another E-100 shot.

Here is a page with a whole bunch of the E-series AFVs. The E-100 Adler is at the bottom. I have a great WWII tank sim, and I believe one of the player mods includes an Adler. I'll see about taking a screenie tomorrow for ya.

FMK, that was the site I was looking at to try and find the real pictures of Curt's tanks :D It's really good, achtungpanzer.com

Look at the turret on that!

That's really nothing compared to the great "Löwe" (Lion) and "Maus" (Mouse) prototypes. They were BIG.

There were two prototypes of the Maus tanks, and they were both rushed into combat, but no other tank has ever been as big as the Maus.

I don't know about the Löwe...

While we are on the subject of German "Heavy Metal",
here is a nice pic of a late-war PzKw VI Tiger!

I don't think Nemo's Tiger unit art can be beaten!
It's perfection!
