Hey everyone,
Well I purchased Civ4 yesterday, this is the first Civ I have purchased ever. Very excited about playing it but no go.
My system meets all the requirements, they are as follows:
Windows 2000 SP4
3.0Ghz Intel Pentium CPU w/- HT
1GB RAM
256MB WinFast A340 (GeForce FX 5200, DX9 Card, link: http://www.leadtek.com.tw/eng/3d_graphic/specification.asp?pronameid=35&lineid=1&act=2)
Below I have attached 5 images.
When I first run the game (either autoplay or shortcut) the first screen (image1 below) comes up, then the second loading screen (image2 below). Up until this point everything looks fine.
But then the third screen comes up (image3 below), as you can see it is all blue, I can hear the 2k games intro video sound but cannot see anything. After the intro video plays I can click on the screen and the fourth screen comes up (image4 below), as you can see it is the civ4 menu screen but without any items to select... well the items are there but no text to click.
I can click along the center of that screen and there is a sound like I have clicked on something, one of the items (tutorial) works and the tutorial starts, only I cannot do anything, no interface just screen five (image 5 below)...
The reason I know it is the tutorial is because the loading screen comes up again and this time its says [Mods\Tutorial], then moves onto screen 5.
Can someone please help me!!!!!!
