It's cause minecraft just updated. We have to wait for bukkit to update. Until then, no server(unless croxis sets up a vanilla like last time).

Anyway, bed seems useless in multiplayer except for decoration. In single-player it is quite good for skipping nights.

Beds would work in MP if everyone uses them! I expect server plugins coming out in the near future to modify the mechanics

Oh, I can't help then.

I still think the bed should have been able to heal you fully and can only be used once per day-night cycle. Though the respawn setting is a useful trait.

The problem though would be getting everyone too a bed or having a bed with them (ie mining trips, which go on regardless of time of day).

Not trying to be rude or anything, but Croxis can't do anything about it. She has to wait for the people who make Bukkit to update Bukkit to be compatible with Minecraft Beta 1.3. Then it will work and the server will be back up.

Also, about the beds: I guess they're useful as a spawn point (especially as a mobile one, so you can carry it around with you) but I highly doubt we'll get everyone on the server to use it at once since we can have 16 people now .

EDIT: I'm guessing you can't do anything about this, either, but it looks like the static map doesn't recognize dyed wool and it shows up as white.
