Here's one of my Warhound models. You'll be able to look at how skeletons work
In the animation side of OpenFX, Click 'Insert Actor', 'Robot' and then choose the Warhound model. Then in the 'costume' keyframes bit at the bottom of your screen (make sure that the keyframes are visable with the 'view' options) add some new keyframes (assuming that you've set the animation length to more than one frame ). Then make sure that your animation is at one of those costume keyframes (and the Warhound is selected) and press "V" on your keyboard. You can now pose the Warhound
EDIT: the best way to add costume keyframes is to click on your last one and select "copy". That way the new keyframe uses the same model adn pose as the last one, making animation easier
