Update: M1A2 MBT

Lynx-Eyed, if you wait a bit for the release of the Storm Over Europe mod coming out very soo, there is a version of the French ARL 44 heavy tank in there. But to tease you a bit....

yep, essentially I'll be re-doing all my older units (M1A1 both vers, M113 vers, ADATS and M60A3) now that I have the setup figured out better
 
Do you make your own 3d models?

I love that French ARL 44 heavy tank, when are they finishing that mod?????
 
I was gonna post the icons for this one too yesterday but i didn't wanna bring it back over 15 or so post, but now that its 'new' here they are....

ripptide don't think i'm trying to undermine ur skill your far better than my 3 units, but i'm good w/ single pics, so yea just trying to help improve......If you ever want me to do all ur units to be's icons just PM me, I'd love to help

Well, i've tested the units Black Eagle, Challenger and M1A2 in my game. I think the Black Eagle is the best unit you have ever made. SUPER! But the units Challenger and M1A2 (new version) look a bit untextured by comparison with the original civ units, maybe there is too much lighting there, so they have a bit of a comic style and are washed out. The dark colours could be more intense with a bit contrast. Your older M1A2 looked more detailed, especially the euro version :cry:. The angle is perfect now :goodjob:. While the M1A2 drives, the smoke turns purple, if you play a civ with purple colour. Its not sad if you omit the smoke.

I hope you are not angry about my criticism, but i know if anybody can do the best tank units, than you. I want to give you some feedback, so you can improve your great work. :worship:

angles...? we don't need no stinking angles...I honestly don't know. Could prolly check but I'm lazy. When I adjusted the setup I just kept moving the cam till the test renders aligned the same as the stock civ unit that is closest to it (tank for armour, fighter for aircraft etc), then kept track of the abs X/Y/Z co-ords for the camera. My setup has a dummy with all lights/cam linked, so I just use it to rotate for the N/S/E/W, and for the NE/SE/NW/SW all you have to do is change the -/+ value for the X/Y co-ord. Height stays constant except for the Small/Large pcx's. I've added my default setup for Max if you want to take a look at it
