Upgraded to SSD...

I recently cloned my old hard drive and upgraded to a Samsung 840 SSD and so far have not been able to successfully load CIV4 or BtS. It goes through the typical loading window and just as the "2K" logo is about to start it cuts back to my desktop screen but I can still hear the game intro going, although it sounds choppy.

I've not been able figure it out yet. All other programs seem to be working correctly after my old drive was cloned. I uninstalled CIV4 and BtS and tried a fresh install with no luck. Running Vista.

Anyone else had a similar problem?

Kiwitt - THANKS VERY MUCH!!

After reading your thread on how to get CIV4 and BtS to run on Vista, I had remembered that before I cloned my drive I had installed some windows updates. --DING! DirectX-- I followed your link to update my DirectX and it appears to have solved the problem. Thanks again.
