Upgrading my computer -- suggestions?

Okay, as I was rebooting my computer I checked the thingy that popped up when I first powered-up. The POST, I believe? And it said a bunch of stuff about IDE hard drives and connectors.
EDIT: I think this HDD would be good for my "personal files" -- I checked My Documents and it barely takes up 4 or 5 gigs. And I'm not gonna put any programs on it (except for maybe small ones). What do you all think? (343 out of 448 reviews were "excellent.")

A very good drive indeed. I used to have a pair thats still alive ( one is in use even on my sisters pc)
