Uploading pictures - HELP!!

I managed to upload some pics of mine but have NO idea how to get them from the upload, er, area into a post of mine (there seems no obvious button to hit in the reply box).

What do I do now?

The location of your files is:
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads3/
after the last slash you should put the name of your file.

You can make the pics directly visible in your post by adding IMG tags, for instance:
[IMG*]http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads3/mypic.jpg[/IMG]
(leave out the star after IMG, I only put it in so you can see how the tags work)

Note also that the uploads folder is case-sensitive!
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads3/Rogers.jpg is different from http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads3/rogers.jpg

Hence if you get a broken link, that might be the problem....

yup - I was right.

You should use something like

{img}http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads3/Scot35.JPG{/img}
but use square brackets instead.

And just a little tip about uploading pics that gave me some trouble until I figured it out: It's best not to have any capital letters or spaces in your file name, including the extension. So a picture called "picture.GIF" might not work. Instead, make it "picture.gif".

Hey - its Rodgers pic not mine. My car is a little more ahem refined.
Just did a little detective work in the uploads.

And it doesn't take numbers too well either. I had a pic called "1000clues10a" and I had to wait a day. I uploaded the same pic "hbdragon1" and it uploaded immedality. Caused a scuffle in posting a pic for clue 1754 I think.
