I'd like to see an option where leaders can choose to do a specific action throughout their empire, every so often, or one time events. What i mean by this is similar to what Tropico uses. Examples: book burnings, great purges, great leap forward, Olympics (one time event), Pope visit (one time event), etc.. Also how about the ability to hold elections in democratic government, where you get the population to re-elect you Pres. based on their happiness and approval of you, and while this happens you could have your opponent assasinated (Espionage) but if populace found out you could be deposed, riot would ensue or just unhappiness spreads throughout the land. Or you could have hired lackies rig the vote with similar results if u get caught, but if you succeed and are not caught or are re-elected fairly the populations happiness/productivity would increase, etc...
