Sorry this question has nothing to do with civ, but more to do with Civfanatics website itself. Is there a way I can put the emoicon I find on this webpage as my AIM buddy icon?
ps. if you don't know what I mean by emoicon, they are the faces. etc.
I don't know how to link it to your aim account, but if you right-click on the smily that you want, and choose "Properties", you can see the web address for the .gif file of the smily. Eg: http://forums.civfanatics.com/images/smilies/smile.gif
If you can insert a hyperlink in your aim, then this would be how to do it.
In AIM, go to Edit Preferences, and scroll down to "Buddy Icons". When you've done that, make sure you're on "My Buddy Icon". Click 'Browse PC'. You will see a file dialog box pop up. This would be where you put the link that ainwood is talking about. And yes, even though you say 'browse PC", it will hit the net for it. I tested it, and it works.
Or (even better for the site's bandwidth) right click on the smiley you wish to use and select "save image as" to store a copy on your computer, then select that file as your buddy icon.
