Have you ever gone through this stage when you installed 100 "cute" applications you found on the internet or some CD?

"Wow, this looks cool, my internet will run 10 times faster ; my memory will increase 3 times; I will be able to write a memo, watch a movie AND ballance a checkbook; all with this with several neat little gadgets"... Of course, what follows is a drastic system slow-down, coupled with weird new errors when you try to erase them...

Always.

;)

Does this mean you're smarter than me, Jeratain?

I wouldn't call it a phase, I would call it a method of using my computer. :p I have lots of crap on my computer.

"Ooh...soulseek, a filesharing program that's fast? I'll download that..." *Crashes*
"Hey, a free Army game! I heard this is good..." *Crashes*
"Hey, a computer Risk program! I'll get that..." *Crashes*

And now Kazaa and AIM crash once a day. Literally. :wallbash:

yes.
but really they are handy :D

i have this one that deletes things permanently
i'll need that for when the police come to shut me down...

and the one that does a mass rename in windows
sure it'll be handy.

You have "Eraser"?

When I was younger I did this, but I soon realized that the cost in performance isn't worth most of the functions. So, any program I download and never used is deleted every time I reformat.

I did it once, but more like 6 or 7 programs. After the headache of trying to get some of those pesky programs off my system, and after learning how to do hardware upgrades myself, I haven't touched such programs iwith a ten-foot pole!
