v1.61 bug: can no longer build SAM after MECHS

In my last game I could no longer build SAM infantry or Marines after I got the tech to build Mech Infs. I didn't have the tech yet myself, but after joining an ally for a permanent alliance I got all the techs my ally had, including the one to build mechs. After that it was no longer possible to build either marines or sams. Now I know the patch contained this:
marines and SAM Infantry now upgrade to Mech Infantry
but it's rather strange that you can't build sams which have better air protection than mechs.

Another bug which still isn't fixed with 1.61: hitting Enter while having paused the game still forces an end of turn. In fact any action you do while in pause-mode is effected after you 'de-pause'.

Also the missing mouseover info still isn't fixed, but someone else posted that already.
 
it seems that usually when you can upgrade a unit, it no longer appears on the menu. but i agree, it is rather strange in this case because, as you said, SAM's still have a purpose. i know that you can still build caravels even after chemistry and you have the option to upgrade them, maybe it's an oversight?
 
Methinks it'd be logical for Machine Guns to stay around a bit more, also...
