v1.61 No text?

Well, everytime I run Civ, none of the text, mostly from the menus/civilopedia, shows up. I have tried changing the options, deleting the CustomAssets, and everything else I could think of. The text doesn't show up on mods either. Below is a screenshot I took of what it looks like.

That's weird. Try reporting it. Then download another patch. I haven't seen it though.

You probably need to do a completely clean and fresh re-install. There are several threads about this no text problem in the Tech support forum (do a search).

By "clean" I mean uninstalling and removing all traces of all Civ folders, mods and files manually before re-installing and re-patching (a simple re-install isn't good enough if there are old files lying about - check not only the install location but also under My Documents). A few people seem to have found that this restored missing text for them so it all points to an old file somewhere causing the trouble.
