v1.979 / v1.479 / v1.089

Maybe I am a bit behind, but what version of Warlords does this version need?
I currently run the final version (of RFC) before BTS was released, should I need to update Civ 4 to play this version? My internet is extremely slow, so I have to do this when I go away and don't have much time.

I can't seem to se my stability ratings arrows. I downloaded it in the right spot I believe Firaxis/civ4/BTS/mods. Where in game can I see the version i am playing?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's an update to Civ and Warlords since BTS.

I figured that, but do I need teh newest version (2.13 I believe) to play this version of RFC?

Thanks, I didn't want to miss it when I had a chance to use decent internet, and I really didn't want to get too new of a version....

Thanks for the help. I knew when Rhye ignored my question I better be proactive in finding my own solution. But he doesn't get paid to answer questions here so I can understand.
I removed my RFC from my programfiles/firaxisgames/Civ4/BTS/mods and found out the game still played. Then I did a file search and found out the game is located here DocumentsandSetting/my.name/applicationdata/firaxisgames/civ4/bts. I unistalled the game once did it reinstall it there too or is it normal to find it there and have to update to there?

My computer tends to transfer game related files to Docs & Settings too... Just ignore it and stick to your Firaxis/etc/etc/Mods folder...

Ok just finished my first game as Rome, and I really liked the stability extra information. Thought it worked really well.
One minor criticism though, AI seems to be a lot shier than before to attack, and I've seen several times barbarians piling units 2 or 3 plots away from my not so well defended cities and not moving for as much as 10 turns.

If you wonder how dynamic names works, here's an interesting screen:

Looks like a little error in it. Vikings are Reichkommisariat (=German vassal?) and Germany is a Roman Vassal.

BTW: it would be nice if the dynamic naming would also be used in the list of civs in the main screen of the game, as this is the most visible place for the names.

Unless you used abbreviations for the short ones, so 'Union of Soviet Socialist Republics' on the diplo and USSR on the scoreboard.

My favorite name so far is the 'Democratic Republic of the Netherlands'!

Sorry, I know this is probably the wrong place to post this, but I only ever chack this part of the forums and it is all because I am attempting to get this version of RFC installed, so here goes:

I recently managed to get high speed internet so I downloaded the updated RFC and the warlords 2.13 (what the auto-updater was trying to dl when I turned it on) patch (since i wasn't on my comp with the game I dled the patch rather than using the auto-updator).

I then installed the patch (not RFC yet), but now when I try to start civ IV it says: it can't find d3dx9_32.dll. I presume this is a problem with directX, so I tried to install it again off the civ CD, but I can't find a way to do that (I had this problem with a different game, and this was the solution). I can't try the auto-updator, since I can't open the game.

Now I was wondering if anyone knows a place I can re-install directX9 from (Civ IV is the newest game I have access to). If not can you tell whether this is a problem with the patch or the game installation?

One possibility I thought of was that I may need to install a patch between my previous version of Warlords and 2.13. Unfortunately I have no idea what version of Warlords I had (I only updated it to begin with so I could play RFC, version 1.475). I can't reinstall the game right now, so I was hoping if anyone had an idea where my problem lies I might avoid a complete re-install.

Thanks for your time.

Why does all Russian vassals are Soviet? It is quite weird to see a Soviet Persia a vassal of the Russian Federation.

Downloading really isn't an option right now (takes a long time to download much of anything at 1 or 2k/s).
