I disagree.
For every embassy built, the opposite is built automatically in the other civ's city - chosen between the ones that haven't reached the limit. This fact ****s up any kind of strategy involving building it in the capital

First of all, great work! Continue on improving the mod.:goodjob:
Second, I had a little problem with contact loses. If I leave a unit right beside another civs border, I will still periodically lose the contact with that civ, even though I have a unit right beside it. I thought that it could be because the unit in question is a boat. However, if this is intentionnal, I fail to see the point as I can just move the unit into the next tile and I'll get back contact. It is just annoying. Also, shouldn't there be a core group of civs with whom you'll never lose contact? Seems odd to me that as England, I continually lose contact with Rome even though they are just a couple of tyles away. I would suggest making close civs immune to that effect.
Third, I saw the AI turkish for the first time since its introduction doing more than just surviving! The new UP is the reason why they trive so much. I have seen them completely annihilate Babylon by culture alone. When they spawned, they took Artaxata which culturally pressured a babylonian wonder city which flipped which has eaten so much culture that the city of Babil is reduced to controlling 2 tiles in an orange ocean. The double holy city of Jerusalem doesn't fare well either and is usually under heavy turkish pressure. But for me the most disturbing was when I saw them go after Russia. They conquered Moscow but immediatly after the city was out of resistance, it expanded to the third or fourth border level (1: 8 tiles, 2: 20 tiles, 3: 36 tiles, etc.). In fact, they had eaten so much russian culture that all russian cities in the area were directly beside turkish borders. Thus, they were compeltely gone after a few turns as their Up was totally ineffective. Overrall, I think the new UP is overpowered and its effect should be reduced.
Apart from that, I really enojyed my current game as the Viking :D

1 - tracking every single unit on the map would be impossible, so communications are cut regardless of them. They only check cities visibility. In your case, England is enough distant from Rome to lose contact.

2 - Turkish UP has been reduced

Egyptian UHV achieved. Piece of cake, achieved it on my first try without referencing strategy guide or moving initial settler or anything cheesy like that :)

No camel archers ever came to say hello to my empire. Was annoying that some impis spawned inside the Great Wall though, they kept taking the southern city.
