Hmm, yes, my bad, it's in my own modified files to enable ViewPorts. Removed it now so that should not happen again. Though maybe I should have it on by default so you can get a few more of these bugs... *wink*

Yet another waiting for civilizations freeze. just move the two gatherers south one plot and press end turn

Can't load your save - current assets must be missing something you have that is no supported by the save compatibility code. I tried with the latest SVN but it won't load.
 
By the way, the button for the Astaru (sp?) religion is broken. When you have a missionary in a city and want to spread religion the button is pink, although the missionary still spreads its faith as normal.
 
OK, Here's a repeatable instance of poor pathing. The stone thrower should be taking the route in pic 1, and then one more square, for a total of six turns, but it takes a seven turn route instead. There isn't any damaging terrain that could explain this. The Save is attached.

Here's another odd bug, this one I suspect is viewport-related. The flag is doing some wierd progression between my flag and the barbarian flag when I'm preparing to attack some enemies.

I'm bumping these two issues, as it looks like no one noticed them, and I don't want for the to get buried, as they aren't trivial issues.
 
I've been playing C2C for about a week now. I am regularly getting this message when my game crashes.

I've tried all the different graphic settings my card will let me and still the same.

I've also tried continuing to play from the oldest autosave but I am getting no further forward and it keeps crashing on the same turn. I've tried doing different things moving units that didn't move before and vise versa but it makes no difference.

Any suggestions?

I am aware of them but have not had time to look into the pathing yet.

The flag thing is a known issue that I have been unable to pin down as yet.
 
Just wanted to confirm, the WfC hang on my previous save is now fixed. Thanks.

I noted a couple of turns later that we can't refocus viewports based on journal entries. I guess that's more not implemented than a bug, but I thought it should be mentioned (a couple of turns later, a distant tracker gets a promo, recentering on him, but I couldn't get back to my capital by clicking on the enemy spotted near your city message. It can be done through the city advisor, though).
 
When I load this save with an older SVN I can play it for at least one turn, If I load the new save with SVN 3098 it freezes again...

I'm just spitballing here and may be talking out of my rear end, but...

I know that a big priority is making sure that save games are compatible across the various versions, but with all the CTD and WFOC lately is it possible that save game compatibility isn't possible any longer?

No, that definitely has nothing to do with each other.
Such problems are to be expected with large changes to the fundamental expectations in the code like the viewport feature.
 
Thank you K, the long game I had worked now, no more WfoC. I've yet to test it with ViewPorts or Dyn units though, do you want me to do that?

Haven't gotten to the other save yet, was only playing that to have something to do.

Yes, I have a fix for it, I just haven't had time to put it on the SVN.

Edit: Koshling, I forgot I also hav a Kangaroo resource in there that I was testing. So much for trying to stick to the SVN in a game. Oh well so much for world domination.
 
In case the problem is on my end, what I'm seeing here is a tracker surrounded by black tiles and I'm not sure what's going on with the minimap. There's no crash or anything, and refocusing on my capital has given me my tile graphics back the last couple of times it happened. But since it seems to carry over on the save, I figured I'd pass it along and see if you can make anything of it. SVN 3102, I think (ori's volcano adjustment). 48x30,2 VP.

Fix now on SVN. It was doing you a favour (but cheating in doing so). It was taking the longer path to avoid leaving itself adjacent to an Ibex you can't see at (50,50). The visibility check (which is the aspect I've fixed) on the test was incorrect, as obviously you shouldn't be able to avoid things you can't see!

OK the flag issue is clearly identified here:

Try to attack the cobra to the left of the rogue, it wont attack, BUT the flag will turn from mine to barbarian back and forth. Just go to LIKE your going to attack, BUT hold it inplace and dont attack, just "so called pretend" to attack . . . should work that way then. . .
