Vanilla Disk Required?

I am installing C3C in my comp and I was wondering do I need Vanilla already installed? Or does it come with it?

You need vanilla already installed, but C3C it comes with PLW.

Edit: It sounded like i was saying vanilla came with PLW, fixed that.

But you only need the disc in the drive when it loads and checks the copy protection, right? So let it load, then take it out.
