So here's the question: Is Byzantine gassed? Did they have anything coming at you Ville towards the end? If they're gassed, we might be able to press on and destroy their civilization. If they still have got game, then maybe peace is a good idea with the WW.

If we're at 40% lux it might be hard to press on, of course I haven't seen the save to know how many units we've got over there. Any lux near by that we don't have that might boost our morale?

Probably won't be able to get to it tonight so shooting for tomorrow eve.
 
Sorry guys i got caught up in RL. I guess i would just be sloing the SG down. I think i should jst drop becasue im then going to be away for the next 2 weeks. SO unless you guys really want me to stay then ill have to take my leave. But i'll be lurking.

Go for it Oddible. Any amount of turns between 5 and 10 is OK when you are in a late game war. I've had single turns take well over 90 minutes to play.

I think we'll leave peace up to you. If you think you can press on, go for it. If you think our government is going to collapse, then sue for peace.

Parting thoughts

Left a couple artys sw of Chichen Itza, was using them for mainland defense. The enemy seems to have a liking for Amsterdam, don't know if its the redlight or the pot. Also, Sumer just dropped units up on the northern isle I didn't take care of. Should be plenty up there to deal with it tho.

We need culture in Byzantium, flipped once so take care, not too bad tho.

Our north is pretty unhappy about the war. Our core could care less, they love it. Celebrating, etc. Dunno, could probably go to Fascism but govt switches during wartime can be rough. Doesn't seem like we're going builder any time soon tho eh?

1. Democracy is probably not the best government for us if we're going to conquer the world. Communism may be better. Thoughts?

2. I think I could push the Byzantines back to the choke point at Adana and then sue for peace.

3. Where do we go after that? Inca?

I agree Ville. We've been playing with Communism over in Bede01 and it is a much improved government. The question is, should I revolt early or late?

I will plan on executing up to the choke, then set up to launch against the Incas.
 
Sounds good. Was flip-flopping on whether to go Flight or Mass Production but figured we're not having any trouble with shipping so don't really need the airports to get folks to the front (though it certainly makes things easier). Bombers are nice but not really necessary so decided to head for tanks. Up to you guys whether we stay on that track or not.

I didn't get to see the results of the wine as I just hooked it up but you'll be able to squeeze a bit more happiness out of it no doubt.

Byzantines are still harrassing big time. Push about 2-5 units into the old Byzantine lands per turn as well as having been dropping units on our mainland. They have a LOT of galleons - course that will change quickly now that we have destroyers. Also, they just lost their wine so they are going to be hurting next turn.

Oh yeah, last I checked, Byz were willing to give us Sao Paulo for peace.
 
Bombers have lethal bombardment, if we'd build/rush ~20 bombers, we could easily knock down all defenders. OTOH Tanks have nice attack.
It's 50/50. Both are good. It's your choice :)

Now I know, how about real blitzkrieg: Capture cities with tanks (we'd need panzers :rolleyes: ) bombard with bombers and finish with infantry :nya:

Combined arms are very important at this stage. Artillery, bombers, tanks and infantry will all play a part in our success. Artillery till a defender is yellow or red, bombard defenders till dead, tanks for clean up, infantry for defense.

I imagine these turns may take a while to play. Probably late Saturday at the earliest.
