Any one here burn VCDs? If so what programs do you use

I use a combination of Pinnacle Studio 8, TMPEGEnc, and Nero.

Maybe your player can read a certain type of files, e.g. mine can read .mpg files. This means it's enough to burn a cd/dvd with the movie on as a file of that filetype.

my dvd player i have is a dvd\vhs combo player, i does not support vcds though! but then i burned this on cd so i could watch vcd on a dreamcast, though swaping does get annoying!

On my dreamcast vcds are sometimes choppy, and the sound may be off from the video for a few seconds before it catches up, does vcds do this on normal, dvd/vcd players

If you think that the VCDs you are creating are causing this, go to this page...

There you will find a sample VCD to download (40 MB so make sure you are on a broadband connection). All you need to do is fire up Nero or some other CD burner and make a copy. That way, you can see if its something you are doing wrong, or as I suspect, its just the dreamcast. Make sure you download the NTSC sample though. That is the standard used in the USA. Assuming you are in the US.
