Venice Questions & Tips

Beld, I have a probably silly question -- but how have you had 396 turns and only be to 460 AD? What settings are you playing on? I'm normally in the 1900s by turn 396. Just curious. Thanks!

Not sure if this was always the case, but with Tradition, the Free Cultural building and Free Aqueduct apply to your first 3 puppets.

Hey man, that's just game speed settings, I'm on marathon. You can change this when you first set up the game.

Actually, Martinus, in addition to being able to 'acquire' CSs, the MoV also can do a Trade Mission for twice what other GMs get. At least at Optics, if you get it at all early, the MoV you get can give you 60 Influence (IOW, instant Ally) and 800 gold.

I think one way to play Enrico is uber-Domination by allying with CSs and building a huge military, and going through Honor

With the Commerce tree finished my MoV are giving 3200g per trade mission. 60 influence stays the same.

My vision for them now is ally as many CS as possible for World Congress votes and only puppet the ones that your enemies hold dear. Easy lock on diplo if yes, you dont conquer everyone first.
