Ventilators

I have always problems with ventilators, especcialy with ventilator near graphic card...Normally I must clean it every 3 months. I may buy new, but some of my friends call me that life-lenght of ventilator near graphic card is about one year...have you some suggestions? Sorry for Czechenglish

By 'ventilator' do you mean 'fan'?

I think they last a lot longer than one year - unless you have a lot of dust around that gets into the ball-bearings. Maybe give it a gentle clean occassionally.

I think they do indeed last more than a year. If your comp is near a lot of dust move it to another place so you don't have to clean it as much.

My computer gets absoltutely filthy inside. There's a horrible black sticky residue coating the heatsink.

Serves me right for smoking I suppose.

Thx. I will buy new. I dont know another English word than ventilator but what you said is true so my question was about fans.
