Version 2.x bug reports

I think there is a bug when you upgrade forges (to steel mill or something like that). It no longer counts you as having forges for the purpose of building things that require a minimum number of forges (such as glassmill and jewellry and others).

I think this is a bug correct?
 
What do you mean with upgrade?
 
that some buildings that you build aren't simply added to the building list but they replace an existing building ("upgrade") and can't be built until the previous building is built. Such as Harbor is required to build Port and then is replaced by Port once built, and Port is required to build Commercial Port and is replaced by Commercial Port once built, etc.

Forge is replaced by Steel Mill I believe, and I don't think the intention was to lose the "minimum required" for other buildings that require Forges. If it was the intention then it's not a bug but I think it doesnt make sense otherwise...
 
I can't seem get the option to build an oil refinery even though I've met the basic requirements described:

1) Oil
2) Refining Tech
3) Factory

I was wondering if it was because I already have rubber refineries in all the cities that have factories? Can you only have one refinery type per city? That isn't mentioned anywhere but that is all I can think of...
 
Doesn't Oil Refinery require a Port City? Access to Ocean trade?

Is there a reason why sulphur would never appear in any of my games?

I am using the custom scenario option, the 18civ earth map?

Sulphur never appears as resource when I research gunpowder and thus cannot make ammunition, etc????

I play with Rom 2.2 and find there is a little issue.

The random event "Herbalist" or something like that seems no effect, it never gives me extra +2 health, even if the event log told me that they succeeded and my people get better treatment...

Is it a problem?
 
Ok well I thought i'd just report the problems i'm having ATM;
1) When I open the Civopedia thing in the Unit Section there are no models, just blank space, I don't know why.
2) I can't play the mod; when I start a game I get a CTD; agains I have no idea why.

Basically I had the older version of the Mod a while back then I deleted it and got this BUG+RevDCM Version; I have Complete Edition and the way I got the old one to work was by using the regedt32.exe on the computer to add a INSTALLDIR String to the BTS expansion; this fixed it for me the last time, but this time it seems to be either texture issues or something like that, its really anoying because now theres that ownage nuclear arsenal mod which I want but the mod doesn't work, I just wonder if anyone else had this :P

Ignore that ranting, I figured out how simple it was lol
 
HI!!!! i love this mod a lot!!! from the begining!!.. but with this update dont work well for me.....


i install the full version 2.2 without the DCM, and the extra civs pack all for BTS 3.17.... but when im playing it in multiplayer i cant see the science i discover. I mean when i finished a technology cant see the window with the new technology like before saying me with sound what i had discover, it goes directly to the advisor window to choose another technology ... and when i finished a world wonder (like the pyramids) i cant see its video

why???????????? damn bts 3.17.. before it, it works all fine!!!

anybody happend the same?? can anyone helps me???

im running it in windows vista x64. but i dont think is the OS.. cos its only happend with the mod.

Kappara remember i posted that??... well, i tried installing all part and then i tried them one by one. So i discovered that the problem was when i put the patch for Rise of Mankind 2.2 Multiplayer Fix !!!! :eek: :eek:

i always play in multiplayer mode... i dont know why but this patch weight less than the original.. just a note. :mischief:

can u check this multiplayer fix!!??? please!!! :D:D:D:D:D

hi,

i just want to submit a new bug report. i´m getting a ctd. the same after reloading the game.

i´m running the latest version of bts and mankind. furthermore all graphic details were switched to low. im running win xp sp 2 (localized version, german).

i attached the log files and the latest savegame. when loading the savegame the game crashes the next turn (january 1936 ad).

i would appreciate any help

I have posted a couple of CTD bug reports in the "bug report" section of the forum (post are n.131 and 135) I don't know why there are two different sections for bug reports anyway I posted my saved game there in case you want to take a look at that.

When leadership is obtained, although the xp bonuses from barracks seem to no longer be available get added to units, and you can no longer build the barracks, previously built barracks are not removed from the city, and thus still display the non-fuctioning XP bonuses. It would be best if they are automatically removed from the city.
 
Playing one large map, ancient, 8 civs, ended up ctd, Using xp, sp2, english. Started a new one doing a huge map, 9 civs, industrial, got ctd several turns in. Both have been edited using the map editor. Any help would be appreciated.

Saved games are no good, you must go into the WB and then save it ONE turn before the crash. Plus need to know what you have added, what version, etc.Reason being, you have your saved games in the B drive?? Or other than the normal place like AfterWorld etc.:rolleyes:
 
Added buildings to cities, few units, great people, resource and map changes. Also edited diplomacy. However all changes were many turns ago. Just bts 3.17 Rom 2.2 vanilla, no revolutions, no BUG, no addons. Saved games go to My Comp/My docs/My games/bts/saves/single

I have the problem I have RoMv2.2 and BTS v3.17, I can load the mod and in the upper right corner I can see that the mod is loaded, but when I start a game its just normal Civ4 BTS no new Civs, no new techs or units.
Does this mod use special maps? Or am I doing something wrong?

Ok, after having read the past few pages I can see I'm not the only one with this problem. Checking through the WB I can see the only 2 units coming out are a colonist (Madrid) and a rifleman (obo for portugal) I deleted both cities, as well as all barb cities, still get the CTD. I was thinking that maybe it was due to using the WB, but I played a huge map before and used the wb alot more then and never encountered the problem. Sadly though, I stopped playing the game as I had 12 civs and it was taking 4-5 minutes to process a turn (which is why I don't use as many civs now). I do know I was MUCH farther then in any of the 3 previous games, as I was building nukes, stealth aircraft and ships. None of the games after have even gotten close to that level of tech, and the AI's were all fairly close in tech. Thinking back to that game, the one civilization I don't recall being in that game was the japanese, but they've been in the previous 3 that have had CTD's. Uploading the logs from the most recent game, (which is also the save I uploaded in my other more recent post). Just tried giving all Japanese cities to a different civ thereby destroying the japanese and still ctd. Hopefully this bug will get crushed like the pest it is because this mod is by far the best way to get enjoyment out of civ4.

I noticed that also, i got mine fixed, but i have since added some more python.
