Version 2.x bug reports

i like to use choose religion and it seems that only the first civ to research a religion tech gets 2 religions hinduism with polytheism and zorwhatever with dualism and i use choice because i can use a diff religion every game and still get them early for the bonus they give
Rise of Mankind 2.5 Inquisition is based on Orion's Inquisition mod 1.01f. He has now updated his mod to v2.0 and he has fixed some bugs and enhanced the mod functions further so I'll have to take a look at his new mod version and see what has been changed/fixed/added. Most likely there will be some fixes to Inquisition system in next RoM version... it's all made in python so it should be easy but time consuming task to go through all the files.

I'm getting an error that says:
Code:
Python Exception
Can't find type enum for type tag UNIT_AUTOMATON
I'm using the 2.51 normal RoM, and I'm playing on the future Mars map. It just popped up in between turns while I was autoplaying, I can add automatons no problem using either the worldbuilder or the ctrl+shift+x cheat. Though it keeps popping the same error dialog when I end turn.

The longer I keep playing the more bugs I keep seeing, here is another creepy looking dip. screen I snapped.

That's a similar bug stock CIV IV had when it was released. The face area of a leader would glow all silver like or dissappear. It's a video/DX issue if I recall correctly. Wish I could remember what the fix was. :(

Does your vid card have pixel shader 2 and 256mb ram? Might be a setting in Options/Graphics that needs adjusting too.

This pic IS creepy! And you are using the Megapack 2.5 I see as Scotland is not included in RoM2.5Full but only in the Megapack.

Maybe the maker of the Extra Civs add-on made some mistakes?

RoM 2.51, BtS 3.17
Windows XP
Intel Pentium 3.4 ghz, 2 gb RAM, 256 mb ATI

Getting numerous Out of Sync errors in multiplayer, not having anything to do with building colonists, but rather occurring sporadically and frequently, especially when random events occur. This wasn't happening to me with RoM 1.x. What could be going on here?

Problem, I just built my first Mining Inc. and the founding home city has no problem building executive units but other cities that now have mining inc. expanded in them cannot build these units.

I think its a feature - we noticed that only the founding city could build executive units. I actually rather like it, keeps the corps under the control of the founder and keeps the founder accountable to the others in our multiplayer games.

When I load the mega pack, the extra civs do not load with it. It just loads regular RoM. Also, two errors come up in the loading screen saying something about how the tags for the barbarian art are incorrect.

How do I fix this

Are you patched with the Official 3.17 BtS patch?

Most ppl that say they have barb tags incorrect have a patch/patching problem. Or if you renamed RoM after install.

I see now, thank you. I kind of thought for a second it might have been modded that way but took it for a bug.

Alright, thanks, but now it's telling me that the initialize renderer failed and I should check my direct X installation and latest graphics diver. I have no idea what a graphics driver is and my Direct X has been working just fine until now. Besides, I wouldn't know what to "check" it for anyway. Does any one know how to solve this problem?

Are you sure that "nationalist" description is correct? when i use it , the research drop down notably, but it isn't written into the description.

Bye

I'm totally surprised by my new installation of RoM 2.51 megapack. I suppose it's stunning by just looking at the terrain. But it's totally unplayable, I receive memory allocation errors right after the first gew turns! And trust me, it canot be my system:
  • AMD Athlon Dual Core 4400+
  • 4 GB of DDR2
  • nVidia Geforce 8500GT with 256 MB
  • Windows Vista with SP 1 installed
  • BtS updated to 3.17 and using solver's unofficial patch
The funniest thing is that I never had this problem with earlier versions of RoM 2.

EDIT: my favourite map script (LandMasses) hangs on every map creation. Never did that before too!

Not rearlly a bug but Wonder if any one can help. I don't seem to be able to unpack this mod successfully. I've tried, IZArc, Zip Genius 6 and Winrar. If any one has any ideas I'd be appreciative. Oh I'm running vista if it makes a difference. Thanks.

Try 7zip, it should do the trick and it's free.
