Version 2.x bug reports

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but I've noticed that sea storms are no longer spawned shortly after launch.

Sorry to ask this here, I know this is not a RoM issue.

I'm having the igfx driver problem on Vista, it's getting the game impossible to be played.
Searched in the web, no result... Has anyone get this issue solved? How?

Thx, Konrad

EDIT: I solved this problem, removing a program that I didn't use anymore, because it had an outdated driver. I used the sigverif.exe command.

I solved one problem, other appeared.

Somehow, my research is not being added to the tech bar in the upper part of the screen.

I'm researching Music, already 670 beacons. I end the turn. While is waiting for other civs, the research countdown of turns is one turn lesser. But when it cames my turn, pops up the same 670 beacons!

I'm posting the logs and the save. Please help me, I was finally leading a game!

I just got this message:

Cuza has founded TXT_KEY_CITY_NAME_SIBIU in a distant land.

It appears that there is either a typo in the datafiles, or that this key is really missing.

I dont know if this is a bug in RoM or RevDCM, but despite the fact that I have 'relocate holy city" checked, have the intolerant civic active and use an inquistioner, I can't get rid of a holy city of a non-state religion in one of my own cities even though you are supposed to be able to. It is not merely a "failure" of the inquisition unit, the option to perform the inquisition action does not appear at all. The city I was trying to purge, was the holy city and also the only city in existence with that religion (the religion was Christianity if that makes any difference)

Did that city have your state religion present?

Anyone has a solution or maybe a path that I should explore to solve this problem?

Did that city have your state religion present?
Yes, and actually I tried twice.

Limited religions and holy city relocation were turned on.
The city originally belonged to my vassal, and it spawned Christianity when he finished researching theology. (I had actually researched it first, but did not found Christianity due to limited religion as I had already founded Confucianism)

The vassal used his free priest to spread Christian to one nearby city of its own. Later that secondary city got razed in a war. with a neighbor. and the holy city got captured. I retook the holy city, and decided I wanted to purge it before I gave it back to my vassal.

No other cities existed in the world which had Christianity.

The city had Confucianism (my state religion), Zoroastrianism, and the Christian holy city. (Confucianism and Zoroastrianism were already present when Christianity spawned)

The state religion of my vassal was also Confucianism, but since I owned the city at present it shouldn't matter anyway.

I used an inquisitor in the city and it successfully purged Zoroastrianism from the city but it left the christian holy city status intact and unpurged. I built another inquisitor and would have tried to purge it again but was not presented with the button to do so.

Another bug...Horse archer has no ranged attack button even though description states it does & the option is enabled.

Hmm, that's odd then. I'll have to check that code section - I think it's part of glider's Inquisition code and should be the same as in RevolutionDCM...

Description is mistaken. Horse Archers do not have ranged ability... There might be few other units that have false information in their strategy texts and I'll try to eventually fix them.

RoM 2.7Test1 - I was testing some mods I am working on so changed the number of national wonders allowed in a city to 7 in global...xml imagine my surprise when playing the game I was told that I could only have 5 national wonders. This is new in 2.7 since tests in 2.62 allowed 7 :)

A bit latter I get a recurring CTD - logs attached. There is a revoltIndex error. I am playing with BarbCiv on.

I've identified one possible CTD cause from random events in v2.6x. For RoM 2.63 WoC Lite this bug has been fixed and for regular RoM it will be fixed in next v2.7test2 version some time soon...

The 'can attack without declaring war' ability on the various Christian knight order units does not appear to work, or I am not using it correctly. I could not attack any units with them, I could enter rival territory with them, but if I entered a city, I could not leave the city without declaring war. I'll have to play around with some more variations but something is definitely broken.

I'm playing version 2.71Test and found some minor things:

1) Now that the compass is at the end of the medieval age just before navigation and adventurer, you should move the explorer to an earlier tech, maybe smithing or machinery?

2) The assault mech costs 100 gold per turn upkeep. Seems a little bit too much ;) .

3) The hellenic gymnasia link in the civilopedia links to an empty page.

That is good news, hope you wack these pesky CTDs zappa.:goodjob:

You cannot attack any units inside a city. What's more if you don't have open borders with that player and you enter his city you will have to wait a turn for the game to move it back outside the borders. Small thing and makes sense if you ask me.

Something else I forgot to mention:
The model/unit for the byzantine chariot acts weird. I can move it, but all command buttons disappear, I can't upgrade/promote it. Even the attack odds don't show up, when right clicking on an enemy.

I'm still experiencing the dreaded "no menu" problem on 2.62 megapack (regular 2.62 no problem), even though I've properly fixed CvAltRoot.py. Any ideas why this might happen and what I could try? What's different in the code between the megapack and regular RoM that could cause this?

CTD or memory allocation error Fix
Sound blaster X-Fi volume panel conflict?

Firstly - great MOD :goodjob:
I hope this helps some of those who have been unable to play standard or larger maps and experienced memory allocation error crashes.
I have been unable to play standard or larger maps or the ROM scenarios without CTD or memory allocation error. I tried a few things including getting more RAM (now 3.25GB usable in XP) and switching off anti virus etc but with no joy.
The last thing I tried was switching off the Sound blaster volume panel, and it now ROM works great. Volume panel is a little program and doesnt use much memory so I didn't think it would have much effect but there must be some sort of conflict as now I can play gigantic maps and all the scenarios etc! :)
(I also updated Sound blaster drivers at the same time but they had been updated recently anyway but its still worth checking)
