Version Questions

Hello,

I want to apologize in advance if the answer to my question is already posted.

I was just at Big Lots and saw that they had CivII Test of Time for sale. Yep, it only cost me 6 bucks! Anway, my questions are...Is the right CivII to play the GOTM on? What version do I now have and is there a new version I need to upload?

The Civ2 GOTM is for MGE. I should also mention that ToT and MGE saves aren't compatible. So if you want to play the GOTM, you should go for MGE. But I would still recommend getting ToT. There are a few scenarios on the web for it, so it'd worth the 6 bucks.

Check Cedric Greene's Civ2 site - there may be converters between ToT and MGE.

But...what does MGE stand for?
