I have vanilla civ 3 and I downloaded v29 from the civ 3 website, yet when I look at the botton left corner of screen, it says I am using v1.07. Where should the patch be located and why am I not able to use the v1.29 patch?

When you download the v1.29f patch, just save as it to the desktop and double click it.
