Very Important Fix For Foreigners

Wow... learning languages playing video games. How awesome! I'll bet that would be more effective than my high school Spanish teacher. A very, very little bit came back when I went to Mexico. When I graduate this year, and get a stable job, I'll start refreshing that Spanish. Maybe video games would be a good way to study.

Any good Spanish only video games? Maybe based on telenovelas?

I learned to read from Final Fantasy 2 and 3... ok I learned the basics in school but it greatly helped.

Attended to the chat yesterday, and I was able to have my questions asked to Firaxis, BreakAway Games and Atari. Here are the edited parts about this problem :

<Chieftess> <kryszcztov> Will each local version be ***100%*** compatible with one another ?
<Firaxis_Jesse> they will have the same copy protection - which is a huge step in the right direction!
<Thunderfall> That's good Jesse. no more patch woes! :D
<Jeff_ATARI> Yes, we'd like to prevent that patch confusion from ever happening again. :)

Don't think they understood there... :crazyeye:

<kryszcztov> Merepatra : i own Civ3 & PTW in French ; can't play US modded games, and US non-modded games are in both english & french ; will this be fixed ?
<Merepatra_BA> I know they were working on making all versions more comptible kryszcztov but I don't know if it will solve your problems or not...I only have an english version, and of course it isn't a "final" version with all the installer things anything
<Muchembled> @Merepatra : about kryszcztov's question, it is mainly due to units folder naming : names should have been an identifier rather than the name itself (since the name changes with the language)
<Merepatra_BA> I think the naming issues is something the modding community among the testers was looking at

Well, it seems they know about it, but it's rather difficult to know if the problem is gone or not, or if they lowered it at least. I think we'll just have to see now. :scan:

yeah, pay first, find out afterwards.... great.... I'll be asking atari Germany before release to check if US and German Versions are compatible, and will post it here, maybe someone should do it for France and other countries as well....
