I had a recent problem playin BTS Pacific Road to war scenario.
The moves began to take a real long time to play then windows has encounterd a problem we are sorry yadda yadda yadda crash.
I would restart every time I got one untill I noticed that on start up my cpu temp had risen to 61 C. So I shut her down and opened up my box. there was a blanket of dust covering the heat sink for the cpu under the fan and dust jammed into the gpu fan aswell. It kinda looked like that lint blanket you get from clearing the trap in the dryer. Anyways I cleaned out my box and restarted my game from a ways back in the scenario since the last save had become corupt.
I played 3 or 4 long turns. 2 minutes to finish AI turn. Saved the game and restarted computer.
The temp was now 48 C on restart as opposed to 61 C before.
So I went back to playing. The weird thing is that I was getting 2 minute turns for about 10 times after I had taken care of the heat problem then poof back down to 20 and 30 seconds. I wonder what the heck happened.

BTW: The crashes have stopped.
