Video settings not saving

I have a problem with video settings, if I change them all to high for example, it asks me to restart the game to make changes take effect. If I restart the game after changing the settings, there are defaults settings again.

It does not save the settings. Anyone know how to fix that? Afaik I have latest patches installed. It's with dx9 version btw.

Works fine with dx11 settings, It saves them. Only dx9 version does not save video settings.

WinVista/Win7? If yes: Do you have admin rights at that computer?

Win7 yes. Yes I do... I even tried "Run as Administrator" still does not save the settings.

Did you try to edit the related .ini files directly?

No I havent, I checked them, but didnt edit them, should I? I thought the in-game settings were there for a reason.

Yes, sure, but like you see they don't help, so i suggest going the straight way.
If you mess something up, then just delete the .ini, it will automatically get recreated.

Even if I changed the dx9 ini file graphics settings, they didnt affect the game. I dont know what to do anymore, I would play dx11 version, but for some reason it makes my 460gtx sound like a jet engine.

I believe it's badly coded graphics engine. God damn this game has lots of problems.
