video trouble

hi, guys

I'm with a little trouble here. when I try to play civ IV (either BTS, Warlords AND Vanilla - either starting a new game or loading a previous saved one - either normal or mod games) i have this: the base terrain (plains, grassland, hills, peak, ocean) appears all black. all units, resources, jungles, forests, cities, improvements, etc, appears normally and the game runs with no other troubles (I played until 110 turns with this).

what can be the trouble? I have yet installed the game from the same cds on another pcs and it have run normally. I have uninstalled and installed again and again. always the same trouble, only on my computer.

i have

intel celeron D 2.53 GHz
video card onboard SIS 661GX with 128 MB
768 RAM

is there anything I can do???

There have been a lot of reports on this forum of problems with your graphics card, the SIS Mirage and 660FX do not seem to be up to the job, I don't specifically know about your one.

Things to try:

Make sure BTS is updated to 3.19 (probably won't help your specific problem as it affects all 3 games, but always worth doing)

Make sure you have the most recent graphics drivers.

Update your directx9c from Microsoft

It may well be your graphics card is not up to it though. Best of luck.

or maybe it would be just the right argument for buying a new video card I was needing...
