This might have been posted before but with forum search disabled I have no practical way of checking and I don't have a list of the new civs being introduced in Conquests.

Communism, Vietcong, and Diem ???
How could a Communist Vietnam have any leader but Uncle Ho?

Other than that little detail, I think Vietnam would make a good addition from a neglected corner of the world.

Woops made that silly error; mixed up the leaders >_<

And vietnam is actually developing in the way china is. I bet in 2015 it will be considered a second world country.

Hey Idiot (not knocking you, just shortening your user name. no offense meant.)

The US lost in Vietnam because the US administration did not really let loose the military. That being said, please share more information on pre 20th centry Vietnam to help convince people that Vietnam needs to be included.

I am not saying they should or should not, I just don't have the background info to make a subjective decision.

Also the guerilla fighters were highly motivated whearas those who'd been conscripted into the war weren't. It is also alot easier to fight a guerilla war than try and defeat an invisible enemy. I thought the US did use alot of their might, chemical weapons etc.. I thought one of the other reasons was LBJ assumed control and told the commanders which targets to bomb. Like the idea of Vietnam in it. I've heard of them unlike some of the other civs in PTW. Their unique unit would be interesting to play with!
