Viking Raid Achievement Bugged?

I've given it three attempts, one on a reload of a saved turn, and no luck. I'm not using any mods, and even went so far as to attempt to settle a city, as well, to see if that works...

Can anyone else confirm or deny?

Are you having trouble capturing the settler, or is the achievement just not triggering despite you capturing a settler with a longship?

I had no trouble getting the achievement earlier this year. It was a settler that barbs had captured.

I seem to recall they buffed Norway with the summer patch; maybe they did something that messed up the achievement?

I have been able to capture the settler in two separate games since the patch, but no achievement. I suspect you may be right. I was reading about some of the buffs, but no idea that they could have caused side effects like this...

Apparently no one at Firaxis realized it, either (if that is the cause - but whatever the cause, something is broken).

I didn't have the achievement and just tested it with a hot seat duel map, both players human. I captured the only settler the "opponent" had and the achievement triggered just fine.

Did you capture the settler on water or with the "Naval Raid" option?

That must be it. I believe, for the achievement you need to use the 'coastal raid' button to capture the settler, not just capture it on the water, like a mere galley

Yes, that's how I got it.

Confirmed, simply capturing it afloat will do nothing, you have to use the "Coastal Raid" option. Thanks to everyone for your help!
