Virtual Reality. Is it really happening?

So Oculus Touch is officially arrived as of Dec. 6... unfortunately I was unemployed for a while so haven't had a chance to get some yet. According to every tech site out there, though, I was right; they are flat out the best choice on the market, toppling the Vive's lone strongpoint.
 
So did you finally got your own rift so your fanboyism has become somewhat justified?
 
I am not seeing the next-level thing with VR, unless it factors some sense you are in real life. Which can be potentially dangerous.
Otherwise... it looks like the effect of an 80s pre-teen having a handheld next to his head in the dark room. And actually that would be more psychedelic after a while :snowlaugh:
