Volcano destroys city

I had a couple of games since conquests came out and seen a lot of volcanos, but just i seen an eruption which destroyed an entire english city near my border. Did'nt know this could really happen. A size 10 city reduced to a pile of dust...

It's a perfect way for an easy Sid level win to. Build your capital next to a volcano, and don't build any other cities, and wait for it to erupt. It's an exploit, though...

I seen a game were a volcano erupted very early in the game and wiped out an Ottoman city. Shortly after that another volcano became active in the same area.

I'm always worried when I start next to a volcano, because I thought if it erupts and you capital is destroyed (no other cities yet) you lose. Why would you win in that situation?

Seems to be a bug, if your only city is destroyed and you haven't founded any other city until then.

It's really excellent the first time you experience this sort of thing. I just wish that the mechanics of the game would actually let me see the explosions and the text telling me who got destroyed rather than instantly zooming to the next report...

It's also interesting to note that goody huts representing little villages can't be destroyed by volcanoes where cities can
