how come the volcanoes havent erupted once since the ancient era? I mean im already on the industrial age,and there have been no eruptions,and I wanna see Istanbul destroyed since its built on the slopes of a volcano!

Delay between two eruptions must be calculated in # of years, not in # of turns.

In my mesoamerica conquest 2 of the volcanos erupted ... so .. it works

One of "my" volcanos has erupted twice so far... once in the ancient era and once in the industrial ara. But no way I build my cities near one... there should be a food bonus on tiles near a volcano though as volcanic ground is more fertile, this would make building cities near volcanos more interesting. (or is this already the case?)

not that i know of and i WILL mod that..volcanoes produce great food and shields..i would say 3shields + 2food. With a risk of getting sum hot boilling rock flowing down over u're cities

Last time I checked Istanbul weren't near a volcano, neither is old namesake of Constantinople/Bizantium. :?
I was sad that neither Etna nor Stromboli(sp?) erupted in neither of the roman scenario.

I was playing one game in Mesoamerica where one volcano seemed to errupt every few turns.

They should also make it so that areas around volcanoes should have a higher occurance of Uranium deposits. However, I have yet to play in the modern era so perhaps that is already true.

I thought that they only erupt 1ce as well so i sent 6 workers in the indus. age to clean and guess what, IT FLIPPIN erupted.
I had to laugh at that though but they do erupt more that once
