waiting for players to reconnect

Every time i try to play a multiplayer game, the game starts, i load fine, and then it just goes to that waiting for blah,blah,blah to reconnect. It says everyone disconnected but me and just sits there until i give up and quit, i've tried completely taking my firewall down to no avail and i'm not behind a router.
