Will they always attack coastal cities first like in 1?

One thing I used to do on big continents was have only one sea city and the rest inland. Then I knew exactly where they would attack.

The ships arrive spread out in the eastern sea zone, so they come from all directions.

Some will even disembark on land and walk through other nation's territories to get you. So don't rely on the old "hide inland" tactic.

This is correct with this war, attack them and make them fight on your own ground. Defend when you need to, beat them best at their game of break battles and attacking.
