I know its an old game, but, in my opinion, quite a goodie. I just got the Battlechest for $40, US, and have played about two hours of it. Its really fun, and much more engaging than typical military RTSes.
So, I was wondering who has the game, and what they think of it.

:D I was wondering when someone would start a thread on this!

I love the game, it's one of the best made RTS's out there (Despite the fact that it's graphics are trash). I reccomend the custom games, because they are great to have a full contingent of AI playing against you, or with you. Sometimes the AI stinks, but who cares, it's a great game anyway.

Good choice in purchasing the battlechest!

I thought it was pretty average......

How is Warcraft 3 an old game!?
I no longer play it, but used to quite a lot. It is a great improvement over Warcraft 2. The races are truly unique without being unbalanced.
The hero system is an entertaining addition and leaves you with interesting choices. Try to rush your enemies, or level your hero first?
I think, Warcraft 3 might be the best game for four persons to play. 2on2 games are just heaps of fun.

@rame: Dude, you don't know the meaning of "old game".

Anyway, it's a great game indeed. The campaign storyline is really cool. :goodjob:

2v2? No! 5v5 is much better! The more people that you need to collaborate with, the better. Multiplayer is excellent.

We never had had enough people interested to get 5on5 to work. I guess it would be fun, even though coordination must be helluva difficult!

I actually haven't tried one with a normal game, but coordination in a custom game is really fun to pull off. You just need to make sure that the host doesn't quit before you, or the whole game will crash. :p

Another thing is to try to find people who don't rag on n00bs, but are supportive of new players. It really helps to have teammates that know the game, but are willling to give advice on how to play the game without being harsh.

Speaking of W3 - i like your new pandaren avatar tycoon. :goodjob:

Thank you. The Pandaren Brewmasters have some of the best techniques in the game. :D I just can't stop playing that game.

I used to play with 3 guys on a LAN, but one of them started to practice at home. He practiced a lot and finally become unbeatable for the rest of us  . The game is great, but we can´t play together anymore. We´re trying other games. And that was my Warcraft experience. 4 or 5 months playing once a week. At least I got 3 new friends.:goodjob:
